friday random 10: argh!
sorry for the dearth of posts, yall. there's something i desperately want to tell you guys, but, for reasons beyond my control, i have to wait until next week to do it. in the meantime, you'll be happy to know that dissertating has picked up, and i'm pretty happy with the early results. this weekend, i think we're going to the local fair; i have an, um, appointment saturday morning; and we might hit up the HUGE football game saturday. let's see if the 10 can convince me....

hmmm...another off week. all i can think of is that hopefully we'll be saying number one to the huskers this weekend and then pointing them to number four. hopefully three will be more like "jesus runs it up the middle" come game time. six is what i'll need to cover up where i really am tomorrow morning. anybody else have anything that relates?

maybe # 4 is talking about the interstate between atlanta and athens like the b-52's rap about in love shack? i may not have a chrysler that seats about 20 but i do have a scoot scoot that works best on open roads so i'd welcome that little drive anytime...so earlier i'm in line at the grocery store(buying boo-berry cereal because it is delicious)and this guy in front of me turns around and says, (no lie), "if your idea of a fun friday night is that shirt and cereal, i can work with it"--who talks like that?!? this guy obviously..so i somehow find the strength to keep the cup of booberries that i ate on the way to the store down and say well i don't have any groceries because i'm moving in 2 weeks so he says to where and i said athens GA and, (no lie again), mr. manners said "sweetheart, two good things have come from that place, REM and my ex wife but she turned out to be a coke sniffin whore so really just one..but man she loved that REM"...
oh oh oh...maybe #5 is for my weekend. i'm going to my family reunion in eastland county which allegedly has the best star-gazing available in texas outside of the big bend area. now, i find that hard to believe, but we will have a bona-fide star expert there to show us what we are looking at. i don't know if this is in lieu of our traditional talent show or not.
